Jenny Branigan

Jenny Branigan

Jenny Branigan is a graduate of physiotherapy from UCD (2000) and achieved 1st Class Honours in her Masters in Sports Medicine in Trinity College Dublin in 2002. Jenny received a Graduate Certificate in Orthopaedic Manual Therapy in the Curtin University in Perth, Australia. Jenny is also a qualified Stott Pilates Instructor. Jenny has featured regularly since 2008 on the Mooney Show on RTE Radio 1, discussing common injuries and answering listeners' queries on physiotherapy issues.

Jenny has extensive experience in sports physiotherapy, including 4 seasons as Club Physiotherapist with the Trinity College Rugby (DUFC) Senior team in the AIL. She spent several years working with hockey teams at Collegiate, Interprovincial and International level. Jenny is currently a physiotherapist with the FAI since 2006.

Jenny has served as the Chairperson of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine special interest group (CPSEM), the largest special interst group within the ISCP with 500 members. This group promotes the development of Chartered Physiotherapists in the area of Sports Medicine.


Sarah Hancock

Sarah Hancock

Sarah Hancock graduated with a 1st Class Honours degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the University of Birmingham. Sarah then proceeded to complete a Masters degree in Physiotherapy from Kings College in London in 2006.

Sarah gained valuable experience in the NHS in the UK and in Ireland working in St Columcille’s Hospital in Loughlinstown and more recently in St Vincent’s University Hospital in Dublin. Sarah also has much experience in private practice work, having been an associate in practices in Wicklow and Dun Laoghaire.

Most notably Sarah trained in the use of Traditional and Medical Acupuncture for the treatment of pain and soft tissue dysfunction. Acupuncture is a powerful adjunct to traditional hands-on techniques, particularly for those difficult chronic injuries like Tennis Elbow or Golfers Elbow.

Sarah is very well experienced in sports injuries having looked after several teams in the All Ireland Rugby League. She is currently the Club Physio with the Senior Terenure Rugby team.

Sarah is an active member of the Chartered Physiotherapists in Sports and Exercise Medicine group of the ISCP.

 

   

Location

Total Physio is situated on Trimleston Ave in Booterstown. Trimleston Avenue is a left hand turn off the Rock Road on the way into Dublin just before the Tara Towers Hotel. Total Physio is located above the dry cleaners on the left hand side.

The clinic is located within walking distance of Booterstown Dart Station and is served by the following buses: 5, 7, 7a, 8, 45.

From Booterstown Dart Station:
Total Physio is less than a 10 minute walk from Booterstown Dart Station. Exit the dart station and take a right onto the Rock Road. Follow until the first set of traffic lights and turn left. Total Physio is located above the dry cleaners on the left hand side.

From the Stillorgan Road:
To get to Total Physio from the Stillorgan Road (N11) exit at the UCD flyover and proceed down Woodbine Avenue (located to the left of the Montrose Hotel). At the end of Woodbine avenue take a left at the mini roundabout. Total Physio is located 150 metres on the right hand side.
