Many women present for Physiotherapy during pregnancy with pain and restricted function and movement. It is very easy to ignore aches during pregnancy and dismiss them as part of your condition. In reality there is much that can be done to prevent pains getting worse with a growing bump and of course, the postnatal period is not the time to be trying to resolve these aches. You will certainly have enough to do then! In these videos, we have put together some information on the common conditions in pregnancy that respond very well to physiotherapy. These conditions include:

  • Upper spine pain (thoracic pain)
  • Low back pain and sciatica
  • Rib pain
  • Neck and postural pains
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
  • Pelvic Girdle Pain (PGP)
  • Bladder issues during and after pregnancy
