Our Chartered physiotherapists are manual therapists. This means that we take a very ‘Hands-on’ approach to treatment. We may use massage, soft tissue mobilisations, myofascial release, joint traction, joint mobilisations or manipulations to alleviate your pain.

We treat a wide range of injuries, including sports injuries, spinal pain of acute or gradual nature and orthopaedic conditions. Rehabilitation and preventive strategies are also an important part of our caseload.

Sports Massage

Who better to massage into the deeper layers of muscle than a Chartered Physiotherapist with our expert knowledge of the anatomy of the soft tissues and muscles of the body? Deep tissue massage is a focused, penetrating massage into the tender areas to break down tension, tightness and realign those deeper layers of soft tissue. We may employ some specific physiotherapeutic massage techniques such as friction for persistent or chronic tightness which may be resulting from adhesions (painful, rigid bands of muscle tissue) or manual trigger point release to clear myofascial pain. After a deep tissue massage patients often notice an immediate increased freedom of movement.

Massage can be booked for 30 or 60 minutes. Please specify at time of booking the duration and if you are seeking a massage only, as opposed to physiotherapy assessment and treatment.

Deep Tissue Massage:

This type of massage works very well on overused muscles. It can be effective as a regular treatment during training for a big event, such as a marathon. Many team sports players gets vigorous sports massage before a big game. We all know that recovery is as important as the training we put in, and sports massage has a very important role to play at this stage also. Whether you're a keen competitor or a weekend warrior, sports massage is a powerful way to keep your body in tune with your training and prevent those niggly tightnesses that can develop into frustrating injuries.

Massage can be booked for 30 or 60 minutes. Please specify at time of booking the duration and if you are seeking a massage only, as opposed to physiotherapy assessment and treatment.
