
Aoife McGovern
Aoife is a Chartered Physiotherapist with a special interest in musculoskeletal and sports physiotherapy. Aoife qualified with an honours degree in Physiotherapy from Trinity College Dublin and gained her initial experience working within the HSE in both a community and hospital setting before moving into private practice.
Aoife is currently studying part-time for her master’s degree in Sports Medicine from Trinity College Dublin. She is a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach with the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as well as certified Pilates instructor. Aoife is the head of our Cancer Rehabilitation service and has just completed her Level 4 Cancer and Exercise Rehabilitation course with CanRehab. She has extensive post-graduate training in many areas, such as orthotic prescription, manual therapy, return to sport, chronic pain and sports taping.
Aoife practises what she preaches! As an avid health and fitness lover, she has played Gaelic Football at both club senior and college level including winning an All- Ireland Medal with Trinity Ladies GAA in 2015. She completed the Dublin City Marathon in 2016 and climbed Mount Kilimanjaro in 2011 while raising funds for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
