Melanie Reis

Melanie is a Chartered Physiotherapist with an interest in musculoskeletal sports rehab and vestibular rehab therapy. She graduated from Queen Margaret University Edinburgh, in 2014, with a Masters of Science in Physiotherapy. Prior to that, she completed her BA in Kinesiology at Western University in Canada.

She developed her skills working at the European Volleyball Championships and with local Rugby teams in the UK, and while in Canada for 4 years where she nurtured her interest in sports injuries and vestibular rehabilitation. Melanie moved to Dublin in 2018 and has been in private practice here since.

Her skills include hands-on manual therapy, dry needling and acupuncture, neurokinetic therapy, and exercise therapy. Expertise in these different methods of treatment enable her to successfully treat back and neck pain, as well as sports injuries and a wide range of other conditions.

Melanie has a special interest in treating vertigo, dizziness and concussion and has developed the vestibular rehab service at Total Physio.

Melanie places an emphasis on patient education of diagnosis, prognosis, and individualised rehab plans to allow you to successfully reach all of your rehab goals. To compliment that, she has completed the APPI Level 1 and 2 Clinical Pilates programs.

Melanie enjoys participating in sports such as golf, football and volleyball; but also challenges herself with long distance running, virtual races, yoga, and pilates.
