Melanie Reis

Melanie Reis is the co-owner at Total Physio, with over 10 years experience working as a physiotherapist. She holds an MSc in Physiotherapy from QMU Edinburgh and a BA in Kinesiology from Western University, Canada.

Melanie has spent the last 10 years working across Canada and Ireland while developing a special interest in vestibular rehabilitation. She achieved the Advanced Vestibular Therapist designation from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in April 2022, and alongside her private practice spent two years in the Vestibular Therapy department at the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear Hospital.

At Total Physio she plays a key role in developing and advancing the vestibular rehabilitation service, and continues to treat musculoskeletal injuries alongside it.

She takes a comprehensive, evidence based approach to treatment, integrating hands on manual therapy, dry needling and neurokinetic therapy into her practice. That expertise lets her treat back and neck pain, sports injuries, balance disorders, vertigo, dizziness and concussion.

A strong advocate for patient education, Melanie makes sure her clients fully understand their diagnosis, prognosis and personalised rehabilitation plan, so they can take control of their own recovery.

Outside of work, Melanie enjoys playing tennis and running. Having already completed multiple half marathons, she hopes to one day run the Dublin Marathon.
